Training

Unless it’s raining, we’re away at a race meeting or a demonstration, we train on Sunday at the Bill Spilstead Complex at Dogs NSW located in Orchard Hills NSW.

Regular intakes are held for our foundations training, this is a precursor to flyball training. For intakes and dates please contact Robyn.

Setup and training for any dog and handler not in the foundations class starts at 8:00am and continues through till midday.

Regular intakes are held for foundation training, which is the precursor to flyball training. Information on the next course is located on the Flyball Foundation Course page below the Training tab.

The fee for the foundation course is $130 for one dog, with and extra cost of $70 per additional dog. This fee includes membership to the Australian Flyball Association.

Please bring a chair, refreshments for yourself, a water bowl, training treats, crate, shade structure and your dog’s favourite toy or motivator.

Most dogs will eventually learn Flyball. No matter how long it takes, we won’t give up if you don’t.

Please contact us prior attending your first training session.

    1. Hi Jaimi, apologies for such a long delay in my reply.
For any future correspondence, please use info@sydneypsychos.net.au. We have rolling intakes, we have tried set intakes but think it works better with rolling intakes.
We are not able to train at the moment due to ground restrictions at Dogs NSW, however we are hoping that we will be back to training in the next week or two. You are welcome to come along and see how we train and meet with us. I can explain all the information then as it will be easier than by email. We usually train on Sunday mornings from about 8.30 to 9.30 for beginners but train much longer with the more experienced dogs and you are always welcome to stay and watch/help. The first 2 weeks are free so that you can decide if you would like to join, then it’s $50 joining fee which includes the first year’s membership to the AFA. Training fees are then $10 per week that you attend. If you send me your email address I can let you know when we are commencing training again.
